How To Create Stunning Silhouette Photos using PicMonkey

Welcome to the first of (hopefully) blog photo.jpgmany Picmonkey tutorials. I have been using Picmonkey for a while now. I am sure a lot of you use it for blog posts or just for your own personal photos. It’s an excellent resource that takes out all the guessing when it comes to photo editing. I use it for almost every photo you see here on the blog along with almost all the photos my friends and family see me post on Facebook. Everything takes a run through Picmonkey first.

Healthy Strawberry Smoothie

Healthy Strawberry Smoothie

This post contains affiliate links. However, all opinions are my own.

We are all about smoothies over here. smoothieWe eat them for breakfast, for lunch, and for snacks (typically not all in the same day). Point is we really like them. I like them because they are healthy and I can cram (almost) all the food groups into one smoothie. My kids like them because they taste so amazing. Win win!

When it comes to smoothies the possibilities are just about endless. You can make such a wide variety of combinations you’ll never get tired of them. And it’s super simple.

2017 {DIY} Holiday Gift Guide

2017 {DIY} Holiday Gift Guide

This post contains affiliate links. However, I only give my honest opinion.

Don’t hate me, but I have already(after use, please put it backin its proper place) begun listening to Christmas music. It just feels so Christmassy lately. Snow is here to stay. Our grocery store put out bins of red and green Hershey’s Kisses. I am seeing a ton of red plaid on Pinterest and I have begun sewing Christmas decorations. It just feels so Christmassy.

When Christmas time comes I spend way more time on Pinterest than actual shopping websites. I already mentioned before how I love homemade gifts. So I made a holiday shopping guide that is (hopefully) unlike most of what you are seeing floating around the blogging world lately.

My New Computer + FREE Password Log Bullet Journal Page

This post contains affiliate links. However, I only give my honest opinion.

It’s snowing today. I love the snow. + free password log bullet journal printableI love watching it fall and I love how the white glow makes our home feel. It’s so cozy. Perfect for a hot cup of coffee (or hot chocolate) and a soft blanket.

On this particular snow day I am especially thankful to finally have my new computer! If you remember a couple weeks ago I mentioned how my old computer was slowly dying and pretty much unusable. Sad day.

Where Do You Find Your Worth?

Where Do You Find Your Worth?

When I was pregnant with my where do you find your worth_youngest daughter I crocheted her a baby blanket. It was yellow, orange, and pink. I say was because it is now a much more faded version of those colors. It is a bit more stretched now, too. It’s been through the wash plenty of times in the past 3 years but still it’s true color has never returned.

This is because she carries that blanket everywhere. It has been in a dozen different planes, 2 countries, more care rides than I can count. She doesn’t go to bed without it.

Meal Plan Monday [Update]

Meal Plan Monday [Update]

This post contains affiliate links. However, all opinions are my own.

Good morning! I hope you all had Dear Ms. Morrison,a great week last week! We finally got out and joined the Canada Games Centre which is a big sports complex. Swimming, ice skating, gym, indoor playground, indoor running track, etc. We are pretty excited to try it out for a month.

So how did you all do with your meal plans this past week? I am happy (and a little surprised) to say that I actually stuck to the plan! We did go out to eat on Friday instead of the beef stroganoff but that was according to the improvised plan. Shane finished a long day of classes and studying and wanted to go out so we did that instead. We went to a pizzeria down the street from us that had gluten free pizza. It was very exciting. And very tasty.

Meal Plan Monday + Free Meal Plan Bullet Journal Page

We have now been in Whitehorse for a full month. If you didn’t catch when we moved, you can find some details here. Since we have been here we have really enjoyed experiencing so many new things. Simple things like McDonalds, Walmart, and Tim Hortons have been real treats for us.

In all of the fun and excitement I am noticing a little (big) habit forming that we have never had before. Where eating out used to be a once every couple months thing in Inuvik it is turning into -at least- once a week now.

25+ Homemade Christmas Gift Ideas

25+ Homemade Christmas Gift Ideas

I really love homemade gifts. (after use, please put it backin its proper place)I love the planning…choosing supplies, colors, patterns, etc. As I make the gift I am thinking of that person the whole time. From start to finish that gift is made with love and specifically for that person. I am not saying a gift can’t be bought out of love, but I just really love home made gifts.

Christmas may seem far away, but really we are 66 days from Christmas! Depending on what you are thinking about making, that’s not a lot of time!

5 Reasons Why I Love My Camera

5 Reasons Why I Love My Camera

This post contains affiliate links. However, all opinions are my own.

Just like every other mom I love5 Reasons i love my taking pictures of my kids. Combine that with the fact that I lived in the beautiful Arctic and I felt so limited with my point and shoot camera. Don’t get me wrong, it was functional and recorded a lot of memories. But the more tutorials I read the more I wanted a SLR camera.
