Last night I went with my sisters and friends to see War Room. I won’t give away the movie (because you all NEED to go see it for yourself!) but I really want to share how the Lord encouraged me through it.

One of the themes to this movie was not only to pray but to pray with Scripture. Claim God’s promises in your prayers and use Scripture to guide your prayers. The woman in the movie prayed for her husband. Between the movie and the wonderful chat about the movie on the ride home I was very convicted about how little I pray for my husband. This morning when I woke up I opened my Bible (and google) to start making my list of ways to pray for my husband. I want to share it here just to maybe encourage someone to start praying for their husband. Make your own list…find Scripture to support these prayers and start praying! Remember, this list is useless unless put to use!

Ways to Pray for my Husband

1.That he will love the Lord with all his heart (Mark 12:30)

2.That he will be the man God wants him to be (1 Corinthians 16:30)

3.That the Word of God will dwell in him (Colossians 3:16)

4.That he will know the love of God (Ephesians 3:17-18)

5.That he will be a godly, loving head of our homeĀ ( Ephesians 5:23, 25; 1 Peter 3:7)

6.That he will be a godly father (Ephesians 6:4)

7.That he would guard his heart (Proverbs 4:23-27)

8.That he would provide for our family (1 Timothy 5:8)

9.That he would submit and resist (James 4:7)

10.That he would be strong in faith (Romans 14:19)
