We have now been in Whitehorse for a full month. If you didn’t catch when we moved, you can find some details here. Since we have been here we have really enjoyed experiencing so many new things. Simple things like McDonalds, Walmart, and Tim Hortons have been real treats for us.
In all of the fun and excitement I am noticing a little (big) habit forming that we have never had before. Where eating out used to be a once every couple months thing in Inuvik it is turning into -at least- once a week now.
Don’t get me wrong. It’s fun trying new places. But twice this week I felt like had I been prepared with a meal (or at least a plan) we wouldn’t have gone out to eat.
So this week I want to get back into meal planning like I used to do. I will share my meal ideas and possibilities for the week and see how it goes. I will be back next Monday to update you on how it went!
I am going to be using the meal plan chart I just made. I made it in a simple chart or a bullet journal page so you can use the one that best fits your style! If you’d like to use them just sign up for my newsletter at the bottom of this post and you will get a link to these plus all my other printables. Let me know if you use the chart, like the chart, etc. I love feedback on my printables and bullet journal pages. Your feedback can help me make them better for you!
Okay, on to the meal plan!
A couple years ago we did a series called Meal Plan Monday and that’s where I got most of this week’s meals. The whole point of that series was to give us quick, low ingredient, healthy meals. I linked above to the meals that I got from that series but if you’d like to check out the series yourself they are right here:
I’d love to see some of your meal plans for the week in the comments below! Or if you have a blog post relating to meal plans link it up in the comments! Do you have a trick or tip for meal planning. Please share it with us!
