Free Christmas Devotional

Free Christmas Devotional

Free PrintableA couple weeks ago we began decorating for Christmas. When I pulled out the Christmas bin one of the first things the kids reached for was the pile of Christmas movies. The movies were set by the tv and as soon as the house was all decorated we watched our favourite Christmas movie (Home Alone). Having the house decorated for Christmas, having strings of lights light up the room- makes you want to watch a good Christmas movie.

I’ve found the same applies to my Scripture reading. Once December comes it’s really nice to spend some time in the portions of Scripture that talk about the prophecy of Christ’s birth and the events leading up to His birth.

But it doesn’t just fit the “Christmas Spirit” to read these passages around Christmas time. It also helps us to get into the right mind set. Why do we celebrate Christmas? What did Christ’s birth mean to the people directly involved in it’s events? It definitely wasn’t about presents and cookies.

Last year I created a 5 Day Christmas Devotional free for you to use. I want to make it available to you again this year. I really enjoy doing it every Christmas.

For 5 days you can follow the steps of Mary as she processes in her heart and mind what the Lord had chosen for her.

It is not a time consuming devotional. It should take no more than 10 minutes a day. But just 10 minutes can make such a difference in our hearts! Let the Lord speak to you and teach you. I encourage you to download this devotional, print it out, and take the time to answer the questions each day.

I will be doing it right along with you.

You can download it here—-> 5 Day Christmas Devotional

Let me know if you use it. I’d love to hear some of your thoughts and lessons learned from these passages! Share with us in the comments!

Every week I link up to these great blogs!

  1. That very scripture has stayed with me for the past 2 days. That Mary was so full of what God had for her — despite it’s hardships — that she could proclaim God’s greatness. I long to say those words along with her and rejoice in God my Savior! So good to be here today, visiting from Brenda’s linkup. 😉

    1. Thanks for stopping by! I agree, her words are so motivating. I don’t know if I’d have her same attitude if I were put in her situation!
